One might say that this meme started in 1976, when this album was released. However, it is not until lately it have become more widely used.

After being ranked as one of the ugliest of all time, a request for the album was put on the music site What.CD. It soon had a large ammount of bounty. In the forums people speculated how the album would sound like, and several posters adopted the album’s cover as an avatar.
The request was filled Friday the 13th of November, 2009.

Ken is widely considered to be equal to if not stronger than Chuck Norris.

(This article might be put to rest for a while, but I predict Ken “reach out” from What.CD eventually.. If he hasn’t already.)

It’s also appeared in a bunch of “worst album covers” lists. I bet I can find a few right now…

The image itself is really popular on a lot of “bad album covers” lists, but yeah, without any variation, it’s kind of hard to call it a meme.
