"Kodomo no Jikan" (こどものじかん) is a manga-turned-animé series that became quite controversial in the United States, wherein which people were questioning its appropriateness for the American eye. It is a "loli":http://knowyourmeme.com/memes/pedobear ecchi animé that became quite popular in Japan, one reason being its first ending theme, "Hanamaru Sensation", and the video that accompanies it. The original rhythm of this song was taken from a popular song made by AmericanGerry punkGoffin and Carole King called "One Fine Day" which has been covered by many artists. It became an immense hit in 1963 when an all girl group called the Chiffons sang it.

On October 26, 2007, "a Nico Nico Douga video":http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm1376869 had been uploaded on the site, featuring characters from a murder-mystery video game called "Higurashi no Naku Koro ni" (ひぐらしのなく頃に) instead of the usual Kodomo no Jikan characters.
