"Kodomo no Jikan" (こどものじかん) is a manga-turned-animé series that became quite controversial in the United States, wherein which people were questioning its appropriateness for the American eye. It is a "loli":http://knowyourmeme.com/memes/pedobear ecchi animé that became quite popular in Japan, one reason being its first ending theme, "Hanamaru Sensation", and the video that accompanies it. This video would soon become parodied on Nico Nico Douga by using characters not of the animé for the roles in the video, similar to "Caramelldansen":http://knowyourmeme.com/memes/caramelldansen, the "Caprinha Dance":http://knowyourmeme.com/memes/caprinha-dance, and the "Smooooch ・∀・ Parodies":http://knowyourmeme.com/memes/smooooch-%E3%83%BB%E2%88%80%E3%83%BB-parodies.
h2. Origin
"Hanamaru Sensation" (ハナマル☆センセイション) is a song by a J-pop band called Little Non (リトル・ノン), who are known to be quite geeky. The first minute and thirty seconds of this song had been used for the ending theme, giving birth to the video.

On October 26, 2007, "a Nico Nico Douga video":http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm1376869 had been uploaded on the site, featuring characters from a murder-mystery video game called "Higurashi no Naku Koro ni" (ひぐらしのなく頃に) instead of the usual Kodomo no Jikan characters.
