Lando Calrissian YTMND fad

About

Lando Calrissian is a character from the fifth and sixth episodes of the Star Wars saga, played by actor Billy Dee Williams. There is a certain picture of this character used in a large number of YTMND's, usually accompanied by the theme to NHL games on ESPN.

The Initial YTMND

On October 28, 2007, YTMND user ghcghcghc made the YTMND I agree to the YTMND terms of serivce. which was one of the first Lando Calrissian fad-related sites. Later on, in November of 2007, ghcghcghc created the site DUMBLEDOOR IS GAY! which now has more than 25,000 views. This was the YTMND that set off the large fad. DUMBLEDOOR IS GAY is also the first site to have the text "LANDO IS NOT" superimposed onto the picture of Lando, a main part of the trick site fad.

Fads

The Lando Calrissian fad can be divided into two parts: trick sites and interruption sites. The more popular sites are the trick sites. The "Dumbledore is Gay" site was a trick site, as it tricked people into thinking that it was not about Lando. However, an example of an interruption site would be this site. A number of these sites have a picture of Lando's penis appearing at one frame in the end, rendering a number of sites NSFW. The trick sites almost always contain the same picture of Lando, as well as the NHL on ESPN theme. The text "LANDO IS NOT" is almost always superimposed onto the site.
