About
Life Has Many Doors, Ed-Boy! is a photoshop meme using an exploitable image of the character Rolf from Ed, Edd n Eddy. The series typically features Rolf redrawn in the guise of different character or superimposed into other base images of various contexts.
Origin
In the episode "One + One = Ed" (Season 2 Episode 4) of Ed, Edd n Eddy, originally airing on September 20th, 1999[1], the character Rolf says the phrase "Life has many doors, Ed-boys!" after the character Eddy injures himself with a two-dimensional tree. However, The actual scene of interest occurs later in the episode, with Rolf ripping a hole in the background. He then says "Hello, Ed-boys. Many doors, yes?" while sprouting two more heads.
On May 19th, 2014, Tumblr User pyris-thaumaturge[2] uploaded a stand alone vector of Rolf's scene, which gained over 60,000 notes in the first five months.
Spread
On May 23rd, 2014, Tumblr user Bastardlybrendan[3] posted a photoshopped picture in which Rolf is superimposed in front of a woman's crotch with the caption "You can thank me later: LIFE HAS MANY DOORS ED-BOY". In four months, the post gathered more than 20,000 notes. On October 8th, Tumblr user Kaodylee [4] posted a Super Smash Bros. 4 screen shot from the Earthbound arena Magicant, featuring Rolf edited into the background. The post accumulated upwards of 3,000 notes in two weeks. On October 13th, Tumblr user cryoganix[5] highlighted an animated GIF version of the Super Smash Bros. image (shown below), gaining over 6,000 notes in less than a week.

The path towards Confirmation has many doors, mod-boys.
I'm honestly pretty sure that's what Elizabeth's powers in BioShock are a reference from.

So I tried Googling this. I ended up with finding a picture of a baby with anatomical horrors that looked like it came out of a Cyriak video. I'm a bit afraid to try and help this article.

Well this is the first time I've heard of this. And it's fucking hilarious.
This is definitely something I hope gets really popular.

You mean as in Portal?
Life definitely has many doors, and I'll make sure they all fit my standards!
free doors.
It's so random what seems to suddenly become popular. Like, who would have thought in 1999 we would be posting Rolf on a meme page? How does that happen? I love it, but is there a name for that effect?
How about the Ed, Edd n Eddy effect?
No, you misunderstand. Life has many doors, and Rolf took one from 1999 to 2014.

Ladies and Gentlemen, I have reason to believe we have “Beam me up, Scotty” on our hands:
upon examination of the original scene, the actual quote appears to be:
Rolf Head 1: "Hello, Ed-Boys! Many doors, yes?"
Rolf Head 2: “Too much for…”
Rolf Head 3: “Couch potato Ed-Boys like yourself?”
He really did say "Life has many doors, Ed-boys!"; it was just in a different part of the episode.
It's one of those instances where the quote is actually accurate, but not in the context of the depicted frame. Kind of like the one from the Big Lebowski.

Been awhile since I've watched Edd n' Eddy.
You know what they say: "Life has too many chores, Edd-boys."
