"Look At All The Fucks I Give" is a catchphrase often used in image macros and animated GIFs to show how little one cares about what someone else is talking about. Similar to "Cool Story Bro" and "Not A Single Fuck Was Given That Day", it is a sarcastic iteration of the colloquial phrase "I don't give a fuck" and the images usually feature someone standing with his/her arms wide open.

Origin

The use of the word "fucks" as a plural noun was first documented in an Urban Dictionary entry for "Give No Fucks" submitted on September 15th, 2009:

1. how many do i give? none.
2. i give no fucks about your drunken knife wielding bullshit. drunkard.
3. i dont care.

It was also popularized through another closely related catchphrase "Not a Single Fuck Was Given That Day" which emerged as early as in 2009 and spread across Tumblr throughout 2010.

The image of the original instance stems from the 1965 musical film The Sound of Music and features the character Maria spinning around merrily in a field of flowers. The earliest known upload of this image took place in November 2010 on the internet humor site The Chive^[1] and an animated GIF version of the same image was posted via FunnyJunk on January 16th, 2011.^[2]

Spread

The captioned image quickly spread through blogs, social networking sites and discussion forums including Tumblr^[3], Meme Generator^[4], Facebook^[9] and FormSpring.^[6] "Look At All The Fucks I Do Not Give" also became a popular variation on the phrase, which essentially implies the same message. On January 16th, 2011, another Urban Dictionary^[5] definition for "Look At All the Fucks I Give!" was submitted:

When one holds both their hands out in the formation of an empty cup and then says, "Look at all the fucks I give!" It's used as a common form of I don't give a fuck.^[3]

The domain for the single serving site FucksGiven.com^[7] was registered on February 8th, 2011. The site features a white text that reads "ZERO," referring to the total number of fucks that were given.
