The appealing of the video rests on the fact that it uses very simple phrases in spanish with some graphics that help to understand the meaning of each phrase. Besides the comic effect the video has some sort of didactical value and reenactments of the video can be seen in spanish courses classrooms. Also "Latin Mike" as the singer reefers himself in the context of the videos makes fun of the caucasian and latin stereotypes mocking the latin lover attitude and also the attitude taken by a caucasian man. The video went viral and gain public notoriety when spanish network telemundo invited the cast to perform the song at one of their shows: Más vale tarde con Alex Cambert:
