About

Ayn Rand was a Russian-American novelist, philosopher, playwright, and screenwriter. She is known for her two best-selling novels, The Fountainhead[1] and Atlas Shrugged[2], and for developing a philosophical system she called Objectivism.

Objectivism

Objectivism's central tenets are that reality exists independent of consciousness, that human beings have direct contact with reality through sense perception, that one can attain objective knowledge from perception through the process of concept formation and inductive logic, and that the only social system consistent with this morality is full respect for individual rights embodied in laissez-faire capitalism.

Libertarianism

Ayn Rand's philosophy of Objectivism has been and continues to be a major influence on the libertarian movement. Many libertarians justify their political views using aspects of Objectivism.

+1 work, should be instead turned into a section on the Bioshock Series as her books were the inspiration for Bioshock, Ayn Rand: Andrew Ryan. Atlas Shrugged: Atlas. Apart from that, she is not really note worthy on KYM
