Thomas Saggers (TheSaggers1997)

Thomas Saggers (aka Saggers) is a 13 year old Australian who has been in the Crass Community since February 2010. He is one of the most infamous people in the community due to his excessive lying, closing his channels, dummy spits, egotism, arrogance and whining. He has made many youtube channels including TheSaggers1997, TheEpicGamer2010, TheSaggers2, UnknownLPs, NovatheGamer, BlazingDragonable and PlaystationGamer10 but his only currently active channel remains MysticalPiplup

Pre-Community

Not much is known about Saggers before he was involved in the community. But his channel, TheSaggers1997 was opened in mid 2009 and in late 2009/early 2010 he started doing LPs on the channel. His earliest known LP was his LP of Crash Bandicoot 3 which has been lost.
According to Saggers, He made his account after watching and wanting to comment, rate and subscribe PieceofPieSoftware’s let’s play channel. Due to the fact he did not have recording devices, he made crsppy a ‘fan made trailer’ for Ratchet and clank and a few other horrible pieces of work.

Entry into the Community

Saggers contacted Ratchet5 in February 2010, wanting to do Speedruns after seeing the speedruns on SpyroSpeedruns. Saggers favorite series was Ratchet and Clank and so wanted to do speedruns of those games. Ratchet5, Saggers and Random8127 then did a series of Ratchet and Clank Speedruns together. Meanwhile, Dazzy was getting trolled quite frequently due to various reactions he was having to the Cheese Slice Dazzy videos, the Dazzy Wiki and the fact that Dazzy’s idiocy, manchildism and lack of common sense were becoming more apparent to people (finally). As a long time fan and subscriber of Dazzy, Saggers came to the defence of the balding individual. Unfortunately for him, this caused trolling of Dazzy to move over to Saggers by individuals such as TheAFH013. Saggers earned himself an article on the Dazzy Wiki and word was being quickly spread around about him. Saggers was noted as trollworthy, stupid, two-faced and insecure by people that saw how he acted on Dazzy’s channel.

Trolling

In the month of March 2010, Saggers suffered a round of trolling and criticism by a number of people. TheAFH013 made a rant on his semprefuroi013 channel about Saggers stupidity on Dazzy’s channel. On the 8th of March, this, as well as the fact that Dazzy had blocked him from his channel and also that a recent troll channel being created (TheFaggers1997) caused Saggers to close his channel.

Closing and Re-opening

Saggers laid dormant for a month in the shadows of the Community Alleyway. During late March while his account was closed, Saggers talked to Ratchet5 requesting to do speedruns to pass the time. In the meantime, Yearofthe found a user commentating on his videos who he thought may have been Saggers called GnastyGnorc97. The user had many similarities to Saggers, including his name (Thomas), the number in his account name (97 = 1997), he did Spyro the Dragon Saggers-like walkthroughs and he had a similar personality. The user made several videos claiming that he was “Not Saggers” until people believed that he wasn’t Saggers. On the 4th of April, 2010, Saggers re-opened his account, apoligised to the community to how he had acted yet closed his account one day afterwards. Saggers came back again on April 9th and said that he wouldn’t use his youtube account much and had also blocked many people such as TheAFH013.

Return to Youtube

Saggers gradually returned to youtube in the coming months, doing a few Speedruns and uploading LPs of Crash Bandicoot and Spyro the Dragon. Saggers was disliked by many people in the community who he came into contact with such as Mr100percentgamer, CrashBandiSpyro12 and Enardah. Saggers also made friends with users such as SuperMoe1985, DragonOllie15 and Mikacrashfan. Saggers maintained a fragile friendship with Ratchet5 and so was encouraged to compete in I’m a Speedrunner 2 aka the Crash Bandicoot speedrunning tournament.

Im a Speedrunner 2

Saggers was confident that he was good enough in Crash Bandicoot to enter Im a Speedrunner 2 and think that he could win, or at least, get somewhere. He was put into a group with tournament favorite, Cr4shJuh1s, Tournament Host, Ratchet5, and fellow Ratchet and Clank speedrunner, Random8127. Saggers ended up losing his first match and winning his second match but after losing the third match and realising that he couldn’t proceed in the tournament, he decided that he had ‘quit’ and would not send his video to Cr4shJuh1s to edit. His excuse was that he was moving houses, but he had plenty of time to compress his video.

Moving Channels

In late 2010, Saggers decided he was tired of the name “Saggers” being associated with him, and blamed it on his account name. Therefore, Saggers decided to once again, close his youtube channel and open up TheEpicGamer2010. The channel claimed to be a fresh start for himself where he could do the same 2 LPs again (Crash 2 and Spyro 1). Unfortunately for him, people still called him “Saggers” despite his account name change.

December 2010

After Saggers’ dummy spit in I’m a Speedrunner 2, Ratchet5 decided he would not let Saggers into I’m a Speedrunner 3 unless he really needed to. Saggers also said several times he didn’t want to enter. When Ratchet5 needed 2 replacements for the tournament and Saggers was begging to be let in, Ratchet5 decided to let Saggers into a group with Zanar, Elvisman2000 and Scourgeandmephiles93. Saggers defeated Zanar convincingly but lost to both Elvisman2000 and Scourge. Saggers, like in IAS2, decided he wouldn’t send his videos to the winners of his speedruns to edit and that he had once again ‘Quit’. Ratchet5 told Saggers he would not be let into Im a Speedrunner 4 aka the Ratchet and Clank Tournament being held the following April. Saggers said he didn’t care.
Saggers also made a Q & A series in this month where he said that he would answer any question that he was asked. This was the truth, as he answered questions such as “what would you do if Ratchet5 came to your house and started rubbing his crotch against your face?”. The answering of these questions amused many users and resulted in a parody by TheAFH013 on semprefuroi013.

UnknownLPs

In Early 2011, Saggers decided he would team up with his friends, Supermoe1985, JakeGF257 and ToonLinkGaming and create a co-op LP channel called UnknownLPs. The channel gained little subscribers and even littler attention. On the 16th March 2011, JakeGF257 gave into peer pressure and gave the password of the account to a group of people including Nintendogen64, TheAFH013, MeckleMisuer, Ratchet5, Rabidwombatjr, CrashBandiSpyro12, MowMowClub2 and N1N10D0. The people changed the password and uploaded videos parodying Saggers, parodying Supermoe and declaring R.I.P to the channel. Saggers’ friend, ToonLinkGaming was able to require the account and close it. The ‘closers’ however were able to keep on requiring the account, even when ToonLinkGaming changed the password and email and kept on closing it. Eventually, the ‘closers’ ended up victorious, and kept ownership of the channel.

Closure of EpicGamer

Saggers decided he wanted to close his youtube account and leave youtube and the internet. TheEpicGamer2010 was closed. Saggers was not seen on the internet for a couple of days until he appeared again under a new username for both his youtube and skype, Blazingdragonable. Trolls were able to find the channel and Saggers closed the channel. After talking to Ratchet5, Saggers decided he would go back to doing LPs as he always did, and on his old channel, TheSaggers1997, where he already had 260 subscribers. His channel was re-opened and his Crash Bandicoot 2 LP restarted again on the 20th March 2011.

Early 2011

Saggers had been able to maintain a frequent influx of LPs over the first few months of 2011 and had been able to actually finish LPs Saggers had also been able to get a reasonable amount of viewership, though this was only half to do with his obsession with autoplay and due to the fact is LP can only last 8 parts full of ridiculous 50 minute parts.
Saggers managed to get 500 subscribers.

Blocked By Dazzy Again

Dazzy once again blocked Saggers on the 24th of May 2011. Saggers responded back saying "Go for it. After all I did help you out as much as I could, and you did want me to “defend” you in this whole fight against Al. Well whatever, go ahead and block me. But I have a video coming soon that will expose how much of a fucking hypocrite you are." Dazzy claims he is blocking saggers on advice from other people (Probably Al again)

TheSaggers1997 Closed Again

In mid July of 2011, TheSaggers1997 seemed to becoming quite popular as shortly after the channel reached 400 subscribers it skyrocketed up to 700. Many speculated that this had be the act of sub for subbing but Saggers maintained that it certainly was not. Just when it seemed that all was going well for the channel, Saggers abruptly closed it and opened up a new channel (MysticalPiplup) without announcing it on TheSaggers1997. Saggers had previously changed channels due to a never ending amount of trolling but no one was trolling him at the time of TheSaggers1997’s closure so the whole event remains quite curious. It may involve the recent discovery of his Sister, ‘Gemma Lissa Saggers’ on facebook.

Saggers Attitude/Behavior

Criticism

In Saggers early days of Let’s Playing, Saggers was never able to take the slightest part of criticism. When given criticism, He would argue back, Remove the critics comment and/or block them. Even if the criticism was trying to help him. One example of this display from saggers was with his first Let’s Play ever, A user called SnackyCakes2008 told Saggers to try not to ‘blow in to his microphone’ (As he held the microphone to close to his mouth) Saggers did not take this kindly and replied to him with an insulting comment, then he blocked the user. Saggers does not act like this anymore to criticism, but he can be unable to take haters or people trying to troll him.

Saggers and Haters/Trolls

Saggers has a habit of not knowing how trolling exactly works, and labels haters as trolls as well. But when it comes to haters and trolls leaving hate messages, He can pull quite the fit. He will ‘feed the troll’ and start replying to the troll trying to defend himself and he even calls his friends in for aid(s). One of his common threats that never end up happening (And normally embarrassing him)is that he is ‘going to make a video about them’ and not once has saggers ever done this. Other then that, he just makes a bunch of insults that end up embarrassing himself even more.

Saggers and Emulators

Saggers has a habit of saying emulators are ‘superior’ to console (Small exaggeration. When Dazzy once ran a competition for Croc 2, Saggers responded saying the ‘competition was a waste’ and there was ‘no point to it’ because you can just get Croc 2 on an emulator. Ignorant to the fact that not everyone uses or wants to use emulators and the fact people might want the game for collection.
