Pigtales is a viral campaign started by Mojang AB, creators of best-selling game and autism simulator, Minecraft. Featuring the hallmarks of a great four-panel, but delivered with all the wholesome goodness of a Youtube video, Pigtales is participation-based meme for the social masses.
On the Pigtales site, users can add a series of captions to a fixed video featuring the disguised hands of Mojang staff as they pretend to be Minecraft pigs, enacting some vintage emotion tropes. Thereafter, users can tweet and otherwise share the link to the new, captioned video.
Pigtales is the precursor to an upcoming announcement, according to the accompanying Mojang blog post.
More than 3000 pigtales “scripts” have been contributed.
