This extraordinary phenomenon began entirely due to an Anonymous user on 4chan. Unknown location, unknown file, unknown thread. But copypasta works wonders sometimes. Soon, these comical poke-spoofs were popping up all over the place.

The Mechanics of this Lol

Simple. Take a pokemon with an unusual name and place a phrase around a picture of that pokemon. The result? Say the phrase while speaking the pokemon’s name when your eyes get to the picture. You’ll catch on soon enough…
