Rockit Face/Derpy Black Guy

The “Rockit Face”/“Derpy Black Guy” meme originated from several DevianArt users late-2009 but slowly grew in popularity on 4-Chan after one of the users posted up a sight dedicated to this devestating face. The images were taken as screencaps from DeviantArt User Rocket123’s face after he made some unforgettable stares on his ustream account’s webcam. Although several images of Rockit’s obliviously happy (and most scary) face exist to this day, the primary one of choice is usually his half opened mouth smile into the abyss. The basic premises of this meme is to stick Rockit’s head on an unfitting body that was just never meant to be, a good portion of the time mocking the image his face is planted on without a word needed to be said.

So once upon a time there was a sexy man named Rockit who made funny faces on his webcam. Over time his friend Colin decided to take his horrifying Faces and place them on innocent pictures depicting a horrible line of images. Each image possibly even worse than the next, depicting Rockit’s almost scary smile on things that didn’t match up with him at all. Overall the point of this image quest was to create the most mismatched face/body pair ever, even adding multiple Rockits into a scene to increase the awkward looks and feelings of it all.
