About

Cuánto Cabrón is a Spanish website infamous for its effect on the Spanish-speaking web and giving people misconception of what a meme is.[1] It has also been criticized for being unfunny, its overexploitation of memes, stereotypes, racism, sexism, etc.[2] It has been called The Cancer killing the spanish-speaking web.

About the website

The website was launched on November 2010 by the increase of aparition of rage faces in the demotivational posters page Cuanta Razón [5], and it’s a site dedicated to the creation and sharing of Rage Comics [3], known to them as “viñetas”. The website popularized Rage Comics in Spain and Latin America. The website is one of the “sister” sites of AscoDeVida , a Spaniard version of FMyLIFE .

Memes misconception

The website has became infamous in other websites for giving people a misconception of what a meme is and causing people to believe Memes are exclusively the Rage Comics ones; for example, many Cuanto Cabrón users are aware of advice animals and memes like “I gave that bitch some x, bitches love x”, but in their understanding, none of them are “memes”.

Memes forcing

The site is notable for the “creation of new memes” by the website’s users (See Forced Meme). Many of these forced memes don’t get to go viral outside the page. Some examples of this forced memes are That’s Suspicious, Feel Like a Ninja , and The Observer , but there are some others that actually go viral, such as Feel like a Sir or Nothing to do here.

Attacks from other websites

Under construction…

The meme misconception and the forcing of memes was a reason for the atack of other websites. One of the most famous is the attack from Forocoches [4].

The users uploaded a lot of images of their rage face “Valla no me lo experaba”, and finally one of their comics appeared in the page:

Registered only for saying here +1 work.

This page is largely known in spanish-speaker countries. The things said on the article are right, but i think it needs more examples, and a bigger explanation. Maybe something about his history.

Also, they sell products with the “ragefaces” on them. I remember the las time that was done, rageguy became raceguy. They exploit the ragefaces for their own purpose, even out the internet.

Overreacting a bit, i would say that this site has no cancer, this site is cancer. Seriously, if this was known in “the english internet”, they would have been down since the first week.

Sorry about my writing, english is not my mother language.

As an usual visitor on Cuanto Cabron, I must say that the page now is a piece of shit. When it began last year, was really good and funny. Now the page is full of faggots that think that the only memes on internet are the Rage Comics ones. And the forced memes are the worst I’ve ever seen (worst than Milhouse).
The thing I hate the most is that there are more faggots on Taringa that post those unfunny comics, filling Taringa with more crap.

PD: Sorry for my bad english, I’m argentinian.
