I’m probably not the only person who notices this, but did the fight between Twilight and Tirek in part 2 remind anyone else about the fight between Gohan and Buu from Dragon Ball Z?

I mean, think about it. You have the successors to the strongest and most well-known beings in their retrospective galaxies in their ultimate forms going up against ancient tyrants that can become stronger by absorbing more power, and are the most threatening villains our main heroes have ever faced, well, at least until you get to Bills/Beerus and the possible Season 5 villain, after which, they will be rendered horribly insignificant. But one is supposedly made out of jello, and the other has horns, so I guess those are worth something, right?

All in all, I consider this to be an amazing finale to an already amazing season!

Now all we can do is wait until Season 5 comes out.

So until then, go out, find a dragon, and teach it how to do your chores!

I will say, for as mixed as I have felt about this season, I will say that I actually enjoyed the finale for the most part. There were a couple of dumb moments and bits here and there, and I still think the Rainbow Power designs and Twilight’s castle look silly, but there was stuff I enjoyed, and I will say that Tirek has become my new favorite villain (though, his voice seemed to get less intimidating as he grew more powerful).

With that said, I’ll still stick around for another season or two because I don’t think the show has jumped the shark just yet, but I may take a break to enjoy some other stuff in the meantime.

Okay… Where. Do. I. Start:

1. Tirek was a fucking badass, demonic, evil, dark, satanic, Diablo esque villain that I truly enjoyed!

2. The Dragonball Z fighting was probably some of the best cartoon fighting I have seen in Western Animation!!! Fucking awesome it was; Twilight vs Tirek!!!

3. Discord was amazing, like always, but I hope that now that he is good again, he won’t stop being entertaining!

4. Twilight getting her own castle was inevitable, but satisfying all the same! ;)

5. The chest opening and giving them “Super Sayianish” power was kinda cool, but kinda gimmicky… It was alright, I guess.

6. The way Tirek was handled in the end, when he lost was…. Kinda underwhelming… I wished that he would have died or something. Like Sombra, for example! That way, it would have been more reassuring that he was completely gone. And that would have been perfect. Not that I hate Tirek or anything, it’s just than banishment or locking someone up is so… Weak.

7. Overall… A MOTHERFUCKING 10/10 two-parter!!!!! Best episodes so far!!! Loved it!!! t wait for Season 5! :)

I have to say, that finale felt very much like Korra Season 2’s. The lasers, the big battle, the end of the status quo (which, let’s face it, will be a finale norm from now on), and the turning over of a new leaf for the show.

Welcome back to the hiatus. Enjoy your stay.

As for the finale, there are no words to describe my current levels of OMGWTFBBQ. I think Season 4 just blew Season 2 out of the water completely (save for the premiere, which I still think S2’s is better). Well, now we get to sit around, write fanfictions, twiddle our thumbs, and see what will they roll out next.

I fear that is their plan.

As much as we hate it, it does make sense. We get a movie during the off season and it makes us excited for the next one.

I would like it better if they make a non-Equestria Girls movie. I don’t hate Equestria Girls, but how about a movie that is just ponies.

The second part of the Season 4 final, looked like a shoutout to the “Magical Girl” genre that is extremely popular in Japan. Along with “Shonen” for the fight scene, that looked straight out of the DragonBall franchise! That scene also made me miss “Fighting is Magic” for some reason.

When it comes to this show, a guaranteed 9 out of 10 is a fight scene. Overall, that was awesome. No need to explain really. Of course, now that I’ll have to wait about a year for more episodes, my elation will turn into bitterness. My only problem is that just wish that this show didn’t have to make the established Alicorns look like shit just to hype up Twilight. Oh and that all the interesting developments weren’t saved until the last possible minute.

Adventures spreading friendship to the world? That sounds great.

None of us expected a new My Little Pony cartoon to take off the way it did.
None of us expected Season 2’s wedding story to escalate into a full-scale invasion.
None of us expected something like this.

Will this cartoon ever stop surprising us?

I can already seeing tons of fanfics made from this episode.

*Such as a Crossover or Alternate Universe fic where the Equestria is based around things from various Magical Girls shows along with tons of fanart.

*The episode fueled the CelestiaXDiscord shippers and a tons of new shipfics

*Finally, I’m looking forward to the DragonBall crossover fanart based on the fight scene in the second part

How do you like that? They finally give Spike his own song and he botches it.

Seriously though, this was a pretty good episode considering all of the hype placed around it in the last season. This has, without a doubt, been my favorite season so far. Let’s hope that the finale is just as well done as the rest of the season.

IMO, I thought it was good that the writers didn’t show a lot of the Equestrian Games action. If the whole episode showed 15 minutes of Equestrian Games and stuff like that, it would be a bit repetitive and tedious. I’m glad the episode showed a bit of Spike’s role and his fame in the Crystal Empire.

Oh my God, did they really just build up all this hype for the games just to have it be about Spike doing irrelevant shit? That was without a doubt the most disappointing episode of the last 6 seasons.

Over on /mlp/ an anon posted a photo of a large cardboard cutout Dashie in a mall. In true 4chan fashion, everyone ignored the cutout to talk about an irrelevant fire extinguisher, also in the photo.

From there, /mlp/ declared the extinguisher best pony. They shipped it. Ponified it. Made greentext stories and fanart for it. Made a whole range of ponestinguishers and so on.
