About the CD-I

The Philips CD-I is a game console from 1991. It was made by Philips, a Dutch company of international renown with support from Nintendo. Philips was allowed to make Mario and Zelda games for it’s system to boost the launch. However, The CD-I bombed and Philips would never make a video game system ever again. Hotel Mario

Phillips made their own mario game: it was called hotel mario.

Hotel Mario was totally out of the Mario style, with poor graphics and gameplay, and the unforgettable cheesy cutscenes.

The cutscenes from Hotel Mario are a popular source material in many Youtube Poop fads, mostly because of how awkward the lines are and how totally off the game is.

Lines used in many Youtube Poop fads include

• “All toasters toast toast”
• “I hope she made lotsa SPAGHETTI”
• Luigi: Did you bring a light? Mario: NO!

Also, in the intro video, Mario says “eh, Luigi?” which many have heard as “gay luigi.”

A real life version:

Zelda: The Faces of Evil and The Wand of Gamelon

The Zelda cutscenes had some exceptionally weird lines which made them just as infamous as Hotel Mario. The difference is that the Zelda cutscenes introduced multiple new characters.

Morshu the Shopkeeper:
He says at one point: “I’m sorry Link, I don’t give credit. Come back when you’re a bit MMMMMMMMM richer!” The MMMMMMM part is remixed a lot.

Also, King Harkinian was introduced.

Notable is that Hotel Mario has been around since 2004, while the Zelda games hit the interwebs since middle 2008.
