I’m one of the few religious people I know who doesn’t hate science and realizes that many famous scientists were religious.
Can I have an award now?

Several famous modern physicists/cosmologists/chemists and their religious views:
Allan Sandage (determined the first reasonably accurate value for the Hubble constant and the age of the universe) – Christian theist Christopher Isham (described by physicist Paul Davies as “Britain’s greatest quantum gravity expert”) – Christian theist Francis Collins (head of the Human Genome Project) – Christian theist Francisco J. Ayala (former President and Chairman of the Board of the American Association for the Advancement of Science, the largest general scientific society in the world) – Christian theist George F. R. Ellis (regarded as one of the world’s leading theorists in cosmology) – Christian theist
You have to realize that most ‘modern’ scientists (the ones who nowadays wouldn’t be ostracized from the scientific community due to their religious beliefs) really don’t believe in a big, white-bearded-all-knowing guy up in the clouds. They believe in a God that is nothing like that ridiculous straw man.
I may as well also note that Albert Einstein frequently shuffled between agnosticism and pantheism.
