OK, so weve all heard that the iTunes version of our favorite Derpy Hooves scene has been modified. However, the damage may not be as extensive as we fear Let's examine the facts: 1. Derpy's voice has been changed .Considering the voice in the original version was a mistake on Tabitha St Germain's part tshe thought Derpy was malel this may be Hasbro trying to "fik" what is technically an error 2. Derpy's name has been omitted Our petition was for Hasbro to not CHANGE Derpy's name, and Hasbro's reply email confirmed they would not CHANGE Derpy's name. Thus they are technically keeping their word. 3. Derpy's eyes have been underped .Unacceptable. Her Derped eyes are literally the reason she still exists. 4. The DVD version of "The Last Roundup" remains unmodified .Because of this, the blame may actually fall on iTunes, not Hasbro. iTunes historically has incredibly strict terms on what they will and will not host.

Regarding number 4, we'll just need to wait until the episode airs on the Hub again to see if that's the case.

I'm going to back up number 4 – though only provisionally. iTunes is insane with this stuff, and episode sales are worth enough that it might very well be worth Hasbro's time to re-record a few lines of dialogue and slightly alter a few frames. Still, this is totally provisional. We need a statement from Hasbro on this.
