I'm pretty sure I saw an award show hosted by a cartoon character before though I can't remember when.
It just means all the intros are pre-recorded, and since it's all scripted anyway, what's the difference?
You know Twilight would keep it under control, what with her checklists and OCD-levels of perfectionism.
