And do I really need to say anything about 9/11? Al Qaeda saw it as divinely-inspired vengeance, everyone else saw it as standard, run-of-the-mill terrorism (because it was, just much bigger than usual)

All those details aside, I'd say this image still sums up what the Brony fandom means for a lot of people: It offers something positive in a negative world. Look at it that way.
