They are simple and all based on the same body shape which should allow for a lot of re-use of machinery.
At the same time, the added details are great and make each one unique and cute!
Easy to produce and market, should be relatively cheap per unit, and great for collectors!
(The show is built in Flash for similar reasons, so the idea is not unfamiliar to them.)
