if I may… in Spanish it’s a piña… the word “nanas” is a word in the Tupi language. The scientific name derives from the Tupi word; it’s not Latin in origin. Probably a lot of people living under these flags shown here don’t actually use the word “ananas” or any form of it. Also, in Hawaiian, you say hala kahiki and Hawaii is in America. Just saying
