I probably gonna get downvoted for this but here are my thoughts:
MLP:FiM isn't fucking Jesus! Think about it: Did it really change that much in your life? Or isn't it just a good show with an awesome fanbase? And if it ever had that much of an impact on you, why should you stop watching the show or "being a brony"?
And why should the fandom ever fall apart? Trekkies are still around, Star Wars has still tons of fans, and I still consider myself a Warcraft fanboy even though I haven't played WoW for like 3 years…
