The Derpy thing is nowhere near as bad as everyone wants to pretend it is. She’s still on tons of official merchandise, in the official game, and featured prominently on a ton of covers for the official comic, as well as in the comic itself.

The iOS game pricing debacle has absolutely nothing to do with Hasbro. That’s entirely the fault of the studio who made the game, who also set all of the prices.

They were forced to act against MLP Online because of a law that states that if they don’t stop someone infringing on their copyrights, then they lose them completely.

Stop acting like a victimized, butthurt little brat.

Hasbro didn’t take it down for copyright infringement, they took it down for trademark infringement (which is somewhat different). If a third party that utilizes your trademark is brought to your attention, and you don’t make a move to protect the trademark, you lose it. Even if they support whatever that person/group is doing, it would be a financial disaster for Hasbro to surrender the MLP trademark. Yes, Hasbro loves the brony community. No, they shouldn’t sacrifice such a big income to allow a group of people to make a game.
