In issue #3 of the IDW comic book series, it's revealed that after Chrysalis and Shining Armor blew the Changelings away, the Changelings landed in a village of adorable, catlike creatures. Under Chrysalis's orders, the Changelings drained so much love out of the cats that the cats all died.
