Ponies generally don't die immediately after their first appearance.

For those of you who say that they wasted their money: these guys were putting their funds to help produce the Homestuck spinoff video game. Their characters being in the comic for all of two seconds is just a byproduct of this. They put their money to use, but not in the way that people think that they did.
