Can't help but agree.

I'm sure this made the kid's day, but was that worth it? All that money and time just to make one kid happy for one day? As opposed to the good it could of done and all the kids it could of helped if spent on medical research for Leukaemia sufferers?

It may not be a popular idea, it may sound a little too cold and calculated, but if it was me and I was given the choice between donating all that volunteer effort and money to a medical research foundation focusing on Leukaemia, or in doing this big make a wish thing, I would of put it all entirely into the medical research.

Not to mention, like the picture says, thousands of people died in Philippines recently, and many tens of thousands more need urgent food and water supplies or they too will die. Where are the priorities?

As a matter in fact, both stories were international headlines. 2 biggest ones of the week.
Also, people tend to lean towards more heartwarming stories than saddening ones.
