Windows 8 = people hate it for being designed for tablets and avoid pc's that come with it

Windows phone = has a 5% adoption among phone owners and hardly any app support after all this time, partly due to MS's insistence on using things like Direct X instead of OpenGL

Surface = nobody's really buying them, the first one was heavily overstocked and cost Microsoft billions even though they claimed they sold out. Same thing appears to be happening with the Surface 2

actually I hate windows 8 because my drivers constantly fail, my computer gets paralyzed daily by "system maintenance" and about a 4th of my old programs don't work anymore.

Not to mention that occasionally my RAM eats itself alive and I have to do a factory reset
