Well, Rotten Tomatoes rates movies only by people who liked it and didn't like it (the only possible ratings are "fresh" and "rotten"). This could mean that those 96% that rated it fresh only kind of liked it, but they couldn't give it any less than fresh because rotten means they don't like it. On IMDb, however, movies are rated from 1 to 10 stars, and this is how those movies are rated there:
This seems fair. The Dark Knight Rises was clearly the weakest movie in the trilogy and from what I've heard so far, The Lego Movie is nothing short of magnificent.
