Ridley is Too Big - Super Smash Bros. Direct 4/8/2014 in a nutshell.

Charizard height: 5' 4", according to the Pokedex. 5" less than average human height.
Ridley height: Admittedly it has been known to vary, but in several recent games (including Brawl) has been large enough to hold Samus in one claw. So let's low-ball here and say he's 3 times her height, and assume Samus is 5' 6" (it's implied she's taller than average, but again, low-balling). That would make Ridley 16' 6". He would be able reach the window of a two story hose.

So don't even.

And really, why would Sakurai stand for a resized character in Smash Bros.? That's never happened before and will clearly never happen.
