Spain, THE dominant power in international football/soccer (EURO 2008/12 and World Cup 2010 champions) as been completely trashed by the Netherlands (5-1), the 2010 finalists, and Chile (2-0), a (supposedly) second rate team, and are out of the World Cup.

Portugal, another major powerhouse, lost to Germany on Monday by 4-0 and is likely to follow Spain after Sunday's match agaisnt the USA (and I'm portuguese myself).
