Then again, the person who invents an HIV vaccine is pretty much guaranteed a Nobel Prize and eternal fame. It's a push-and-pull.

And also I'm a bit confused at:

I mean, it's not the government that makes the AIDS/HIV combatant drugs, its the pharmaceutical companies that do, and they're the ones that profit. So as to why the "government" is responsible, I have no idea.
