Wow, that's actaully kind of sad when you think about. Sunset Shimmer really could have had a chance to become soemthing great, and instead she threw it away because she was impatient. Sort of like Anakin in Star Wars. Her story most likely would have been different, but Celestia was clearly training her protogé to become a princess. Once Sunset Shimmer couldn't fit the bill, Twilight was chosen in her stead. That really could have been her in that scene.

I'd probably look at it as a "what could have been" kind of thing, but it is clear that Twilight's only an "princess" because she's the chosen one. So Sunset never really had a chance.

Would still like to see a bit of depth to her , though she's pretty useless and bland now, I think if the right writer got to use her (one that actually gives personality and development to characters) she'd be a nice addition. Whether or not she's in a new EqG or makes a cameo in the show.

Be waaaay better than the stupid Flash cameos…
