We've only seen a few gems though. Maybe some do have more of a masculine appearance, or they just aren't the warriors of their race, more domesticated and the like.

I can imagine Yellow Diamond having a harem of sexy gem-men waiting on her hand and foot. She's sitting on a throne made entirely out of dudes.

Or yeah, they all resemble females. Not like there's any problem with that.
