Whatever you say, Doc.
I GUESS dinosaurs are cool.
Oh hush, Hobo.
Be a cat as long as you want, dear.
Anyone from Peta who was involved with this game, on the small chance that you come across this, you missed the point entirely.
For starters, the Pokemon are hardly animals. Far more intelligent than real world animals (and shouldn’t you be helping them instead of video game monsters?)
You should think of your Pokemon as, using the military as an example, your Battle Buddy. It is shown that people in service that fight together in squads, forces, or just two people, are drawn together, and often stay friends even after they leave service. This is how I, and most gamers, see Pokemon. You’re fighting alongside your team, facing off against evil like Team Rocket.
In other words, this
is very similar to this.
And that is what Pokemon is about; achieving friendship with a, not an animal, but a creature who might as well be a human in a way that can only be done with these creatures or other solders in war.
But my analogy may not make much sense unless you were born into a military family, always seeing mom and dad’s old battle buddies around.

That guy’s hair is pretty awesome.
I think Hugh Laurie would be the best Gordon Freeman. The G-Man and Gordon Freeman from Cern do look cool, but Hugh Laurie can act.
Come on Half-Life movie.
Well knowing you and I, that is nothing to complain about.
Anything for the ladies. ;D

Azure coloured orbs, blue in depth glanced towards the Substitute and met Ichigo’s gaze. Giving the other a blank expression, Ichigo merely stared back for a moment-- before slowly reaching in front of the archer to take ahold of his book. No protests were muttered, as he had been expecting; and instead the book was easily slid from Uryu’s grasp. Afterwards, Ichigo then leaned his shoulder against the archers’ side and held the book up for both of them to view.
“Tell me when,” He mumbled quietly, keeping the tips of his fingers positioned at the corner of the next page. Without having to look up, he could see the small smile stretch against the corners’ of Ishida’s lips, before the Quincy then leaned against the Shinigami and, in return, began to read.
“Of course.” Hearing the soft words spoken against his ear, Ichigo relaxed and leaned more heavily against the archer’s frame. The rest of the ride towards their destination was spent in such a way-- Ichigo flipping the page every now and then, as directed, and Ishida against his side as he spoke few words aloud. The silence was comfortable, and uninterrupted until the train stopped-- signalling the end of their ride. But even after they were done, and had packed up to leave, it was evident that the ride back would be just the same.
“Nn.” Grunting out his reply, another page was soon flipped as the Quincy rolled his shoulders and allowed his one leg to slip free of the other. Crossing the opposite leg over the other, this time, he leaned over against the arm rest-- placing his elbow upon the piece of furniture. Really, he was only half paying attention to the Shinigami’s words, more-so engrossed in his book, rather than listening to the Substitute.
Scowl deepening upon his face upon realizing the other was in ‘book-mode’ where reading preoccupied him and took up most of his time, Ichigo irritably pressed his lips together as he wrapped his arms around his legs. Watching the archer for a moment as he remained silent, chocolate coloured hues swept over the Quincy’s face. Fine, porcelain features were hidden beneath black strands; the angles to the archer’s face were sharp and somewhat rounded. The glasses which rested against the bridge of Ishida’s nose slid down in the slightest and before the Quincy could even think about pushing them up-- Ichigo’s hand had managed to reach over and do so for him.
“Mmm.” Was the Quincy’s simple reply, a soft hum escaping his clamped lips-- nothing more, nothing less.
The slight squeal in protest could be heard as the Substitute stepped into the room and slid the glass door shut behind him. The train they were on moved steadily atop the rail road tracks, causing the rhythmic jumping to increase it’s pace as the train did so as well.
With a soft breath escaping his parted lips, Ichigo’s palms slid gently against the Jean material of his pants as he slowly sat down next to the archer. Leaning over to glance across the teenager’s shoulder, his eyes scanned quickly over the many typed words, before a headache then began to form, causing him to shake his head and look away. “I don’t get how you can read with all the noise and interruptions.” Muttering quietly under his breath, he shifted beside the raven haired male, as he brought his legs up to his chest.
Leaning back against the slightly uncomfortable cushions of the booth he was now resting in, the light bump every now and then sent the archer’s glasses askew as they shifted upon the bridge of his nose. Reaching upwards, pale fingertips gently adjusted the frames upon his face, before pressing the pads of his fingers to flip the page of his book. With one leg crossed over the other, a look of concentration graced the Quincy’s features as his lips pressed firmly together whilst his eyes continued to scan over the many words written within the novel.
“Are you still reading that?” Came a questioning voice from the door, an inquisitive brow raised upon the speakers face, before his brows soon creased into the smallest of scowls.
