I’m sorry, but there’s really not much to be done. It’s just a joke, after all.

First of all, before you submit an entry, please make sure you do a search through the database to make sure someone else hasn’t done it already, even if that entry has been deadpooled. There was another entry about the Deadpool character from about a year ago. Normally, the newer of the duplicate entries would be hidden, but in this case, the new entry was far better, so the old entry was hidden. Next time, though, do a search.

Secondly, about the status. The entry was deadpooled for the same reason that Bad Luck Brian will never be confirmed, despite that it got frontpaged saying it was confirmed. It’s not a commentary on your writing or anything (which was good), rather it’s a mod joke. How can you have an entry about Deadpool that isn’t deadpooled?

Well actually I changed it to be a Subculture, because that’s what it should be. Sorry for the confusion.

My point is that you should provide some examples of original content from within the Avengers fandom, such as fan art or original memes. That way, it can be shown to have a significant online fandom.

Let me just say that a entry in “Deadpool” is not deleted; you’re free to edit it and it may get moved back to Submissions.

I agree with you that it is the subject of other memes and webcomics and stuff, but here’s the reason I Deadpooled it: I don’t think that there’s really any original content that’s been generated by the fandom itself. If you look at other Subculture entries, you’ll see that they have memes that derive directly from the fandom, and the Avengers doesn’t have that. Some good examples might be Futurama, The Simpsons, and My Little Pony. But, if you know about some original Avengers memes that I don’t, by all means keep working on the entry and I’ll put it back into submissions.

And by the way, it’s great to see a new member following the formatting guidelines for a change. Keep it up!
