Wow, it’s been a really long time since I updated my wall.Overall I’d say I’m a pretty average netizen. I watch the occasional anime when I have time, my traditional favorites being Trigun, Neon Genesis Evangelion, and Starblazers (Uchuu Senkan Yamato). Also, as you can tell by my avatar, I’m a fan of MLP (though I try my best to not be obnoxious about it), and western cartoons/animation in general.
As far as gaming goes, I see myself gravitate primarily towards the indie and retro circles, though of course I love the occasional triple AAA release. I like strategy games such as Dwarf Fortress and the Civilization series, most games that Valve makes, and really anything that looks fun. These days I mostly do my gaming through Steam, and if you want to friend me here’s my profile:
I’ve always been really interested in internet culture, I think it’s really fascinating to observe how things spread and mutate over time. That’s why I’ve loved KYM so much.
Within the MLP fandom, I enjoy all the fantastic fan content our artists create. I don’t watch as many videos or listen to as much music as I used to, but I still dabble in those. Primarily these days I’m into the art and fanfiction.
Speaking of fanfiction, my only real claim to fame in this fandom would be my story, I Wasn’t Prepared For This. It received a far better reaction than I ever could have hoped for. Still, things IRL have held me back from continuing it for a long time, though I hope to bring it out of hiatus very soon.
Until at least one of these cases is proven in a court of law (aka, using evidence and reason rather than “I swear I woke up one day in his room naked thirty years ago!”), I’m calling bullshit.
It’s entirely plausible that one or more of these may have actually happened, but for them to all come to light at once so long after the fact seems extremely suspicious. As does the media’s speed with which it has spun this, despite hard evidence being in extremely short supply.
Trust but Verify.
Same thing with studying for tests.
I’m not usually one to mock people, but goddamn Ridley-fans’ tears are fucking delicious.

This is a really good read, everyone should check this out.

It’s dangerous to go alone! Take this!

These mods should really read KYM’s article on the Streisand Effect.
When Twilight had thus said, she was troubled in spirit, and testified, and said, “Truly, truly, I say to you, that one of you shall betray me.”
Typical bullshit reasoning that they’re using as an excuse to not do actual research/reach out to people.
That shirt was hand-sewn for him as a birthday present from his female friend.
Most likely, it’s his lucky shirt, which he wore on such an important day for good luck to the mission.

Lots of the US realms have high populations, so during times of heavy influx (such as right after the new expansion hit), the servers fill up.
This would happen sometimes during the weekend back in Vanilla and Burning Crusade as well. However, even I have never seen the queue time this high. 500 is usually the upper limit under normal circumstances. Four thousand people sitting in queue for a single server is insane.

That is awesome timing.
I call it the Aside Glance of Repressed Rage.
(goddamn it Youtube, fix your embed code so the audio doesn’t cut out!)
This entire screenshot is just a fucking trainwreck.
Using opinions on sexism to rate games and cinema? Sexist snowploughs?
The fact that this is apparently real/not a parody is absolutely amazing.
This screencap is from a thread discussing an anti-GG rant. I’ve included a link to an archived version of the rant in the notes of this image page (check the right side of the page next to the image).
