Wow, it’s been a really long time since I updated my wall.

Overall I’d say I’m a pretty average netizen. I watch the occasional anime when I have time, my traditional favorites being Trigun, Neon Genesis Evangelion, and Starblazers (Uchuu Senkan Yamato). Also, as you can tell by my avatar, I’m a fan of MLP (though I try my best to not be obnoxious about it), and western cartoons/animation in general.
As far as gaming goes, I see myself gravitate primarily towards the indie and retro circles, though of course I love the occasional triple AAA release. I like strategy games such as Dwarf Fortress and the Civilization series, most games that Valve makes, and really anything that looks fun. These days I mostly do my gaming through Steam, and if you want to friend me here’s my profile:
I’ve always been really interested in internet culture, I think it’s really fascinating to observe how things spread and mutate over time. That’s why I’ve loved KYM so much.

Within the MLP fandom, I enjoy all the fantastic fan content our artists create. I don’t watch as many videos or listen to as much music as I used to, but I still dabble in those. Primarily these days I’m into the art and fanfiction.
Speaking of fanfiction, my only real claim to fame in this fandom would be my story, I Wasn’t Prepared For This. It received a far better reaction than I ever could have hoped for. Still, things IRL have held me back from continuing it for a long time, though I hope to bring it out of hiatus very soon.

who else?

The one big thing I want to know, though, is will the characters be of a similar physique as the ponies?
Because one of the main reasons why I was so interested in this project was the fact that, since ponies are lower to the ground and longer (being horizontal), the interaction dynamic is much different from an upright facing human character. The hitbox is oriented differently, and it’d result in a very unique fighting game.

In that respect, I can understand SM853’s pain. Fighting is Magic was going to be a very unique fighting game, but with humanoid characters it wouldn’t have as much charm to me.

Still, Lauren has the Midas Touch, and I’m sure that whatever Mane6 makes is going to be well worth playing. Also, since it will be a 100% original production, they can distribute it however they like (Steam Greenlight, anyone?!).

I wonder if they’ll keep RainbowCrash and Whitetail’s music for the game? The pony themes they made were absolutely amazing, I hope those don’t get cut.

Awesome comic, absolutely hilarious seeing all the different combinations.

I actually agree with Littlisk. I think you guys are getting his words mixed up. He said that S3’s finale was the worst-executed, and when comparing it to past seasons, I find it hard to disagree. This finale was underwhelming, no one should be able to deny that. Season Two’s finale was the most epic episode in the entire show, and even though S1’s finale was a single episode, it still had the entire first season as climactic build-up (and I mean actual build-up. Several of S1’s episodes were specifically about preparing for the Gala. The little hints scattered throughout S3 are not build-up, they’re rumor-inciting paranoia-fuel. If nobody but the super-observant fans notice, then it’s too cryptic for a cartoon).

I disagree with AC4 as well. Just because the first couple episodes of S4 will be direct sequels to the S3 finale, doesn’t mean it isn’t a dick move for them to make us wait an entire summer to see the second half of an episode. That’s like saying that S2’s finale would have been just fine if it ended after the first half, and we had to wait until S3 to see Chysalis’ reveal. If they wanted to make a three-parter, they should have done it all in one season, not spread out across two. That’s just cruel.

This thread: proof that fans are just as brilliant as writers.
As if I didn’t already have enough to write about, you guys have given me a million more ideas.

@Blue Yoshi
A visit to Manehatten could double as a Babs episode, too.

That’s the best actual episode idea in this thread.
I can totally imagine that in the show, it’d be perfect.

(nice to see you again, DeadParrot. Seems like you haven’t been around for a while)
I agree with you, this series was far more interesting, and much more meaningful, too. To be honest, the video series was just too vulgar for my tastes. It was like something adult swim would puke up on one of their bad days, just a bunch of disgusting jokes meant to get a reaction by crossing the line twice.

Jappleack, though… Jappleack was amazing. It actually has an ending too, one of those introspective, thoughtful endings, that makes you actually think about the journey and where it’s taken you. It’s an ending that makes me look towards the future, and imagine what might happen next. Will Jappleack Applejack manage to help change her world? Will friendship and happiness take root and grow, cultivated by the tender care of its teacher? or will the natural inertia of a world full of hate destroy the concept of true friendship like a foreign invader?

This comic leads us to wonder, and lets us come to our own conclusions. That’s a fantastic ending to a fantastic comic.

At least they did a pretty good job casting a new person who could do a good job.
I always missed Steve, but Joe was cool too. At least to me.

But, doesn’t it make more sense for them to be white?
I mean, within the context of the story, it wouldn’t really make much sense for some of them to be a different race from each other. Ponies, to our knowledge, don’t seem to have alternate races besides the horn/wings/earth. If they’re humanized, they would all be the same race (unless you want to make the wing/horn/earth determine racial differences, which would be so full of unfortunate implications…).

Forgive me, but none of the ponies are black, nor are they any other race besides white-european. It just doesn’t make sense. Their voice actors are white, Equestria is modeled after the atmosphere of Victorian England, and the Zebras already fill the role of “african” characters. The ponies are white, end of thread.

Believe me, I have no problems with racial diversity, but having token minorities in places where they don’t make any sense, just for the purpose of having token minorities, is rediculous. It’s a minor pet peeve of mine, and I’m genuinely sorry if I come off as insensitive.
