This is almost painful to watch. Both genders are fighting each other based on genders and are assuming the worst about each side. I can’t think of a way for this to be any worse-

Oh. Shitty advice animals. That’s a way…

Commented on Feminist Taylor Swift

Okay let’s see. We’ve got trending, downvote carpet-bombing, and a picture of Rainbow Dash; KYM discussion time? KYM discussion time.

Look, feminism ISN’T thinking that women are better than men. It’s wanting women to be seen as equal to men. Feminism isn’t about “#MALEACADEMIA” in the slightest. (Nostalgia Critic references aside,) feminism is about wanting men and women to do equal work and get equal pay. I wish the term could’ve been called “equalism” to make it harder to be abused and look terrible in the lights that some “feminists” portray it as. It’s supposed to be about raising women up; not tearing men down.

Honestly, I thought the tweets were kind of funny (as a guy,) they didn’t inherently go against men. A lot of the “feminism” on tumblr isn’t real feminism, and it’s actually pretty appalling compared to the actual movement. Also, the “wah wah i think i’m better than all females but how come i get friendzoned i’m a nice guy???” on Reddit makes males look pretty bad too.

It’s sad that “mature people” are playing “BOYS VS GIRLS” like kindergarteners.

Just looking at this compared to today’s geekdom…

…So much has changed, but at heart it’s still the same…

It’s not there are obviously racists elsewhere, some parts of the world way worse than America.

But this still is annoying; the kid shows praise for his country and the “citizens” give him this in return.

Looking through tumblr, I think that The Villager being portrayed as a mass psycho killer is becoming a meme now…

Well for anyone who cared, the Xbox conference just happened. It did stick to games more than you think rather than talking about “TV ON XBOX WOW SOCIAL MEDIA SPORTS KINECT KIDZ XBOX :D”

Also XB1 is $500. It looked like it could have some decent games, but 500 I think is too expensive to get at launch for just a few games that look like they have potential (in addition to not even mentioning the daily internet check or the Kinect tracking controversies.)

Nothing that memetic happened. There were some audio and lagging bugs at times, but nothing really memorable (there was one moment about a guy using a jumping rock as a weapon that I felt like it could have potential as a meme, but nobody really cared that much about it after that one moment.)

That being said, we’re still just on Microsoft. We still have the Nintendo presentation (which is where most of the memes usually come from) to go. Who knows what else is in store for the yearly Geek Olympics?

One picture in the whole series of “Good Guy Greg” pictures isn’t a meme in itself.

First Equestria Girls
Then Grumpy Cat
Now Rick Roll

What’s with all of the recent “geek movies” that have potential and will be either amazing or terrible?

If you looked into the mind of Ed from Ed Edd n’ Eddy and then mixed in that weird type of nightmare fuel that can only come from primitive film animation, this is what you would get. Should I be amused or be creeped out?

“You read all of the memes and the comments, and one is funnier than the next. We think we can build a big family comedy around this character.”

I keep thinking that the internet can’t be in a position worse than it already is. I keep being wrong.

Commented on The Internet vs. 4chan

This was more true back in the days of ‘09-’11, /b/ got into rivalries with just about every other website out there. Nowadays, they tend to be more introverted with their “feels bad feels frog greentext WHY” posting.

Not saying there isn’t any 4chan vs rest of internet distinction nowadays, they’ve just been keeping to themselves and defending themselves in an internet that’s recently been feuding with high school and college kids invading on “memes.”

Commented on Xbox

Looking at it as a cross-console fan,

Microsoft is going to unveil that XB1 is nothing but Halo 5, “family friendly gaming”, and dashboard ads.
Sony is going to give a few flashy first looks at PS4 graphics and maybe unveil a new LBP.
Activision is going to show 4 minutes worth of campaign for the new CoD (mandatory for E3s.)
EA is going to hire guys with glasses and act like “gamr g33ks” for the camera (also mandatory.)
Nintendo is gonna roll out the Wii U Smash Bros, Mario Kart, a new Zelda, and the other first parties.

E3 hasn’t even started yet, but Nintendo already won…

Well if he did kill that man, the Facebook thing makes it seem like self defense. This seems interesting…

On a side note, anyone else think that he looks like Inigo Montoya?

The internet gets pissy when big companies try to use copyright to sue.

Is this what happens when the internet sues back?
