He commented on a tread where some dude said he was going to blow up a school in “Mechelen”.

The follow up to jump was tektonik… But this was more of a Belgian-French thing.
Also kids filming themselves in front of landmarks or in public places.
The advantage with this new dance is that you don’t get kicked in the face but you still can get slapped all over if you don’t watch out when going to a party.

But these kids did something that jump didn’t have, dancecrews showing of to eachother in the streets. In Paris and Brussels there are these meeting places for tektonik enthousiast to show off there moves. You can find them mostly at the foot or steps to a famous landmark in the cities.

You couldn’t go to a party in Belgium without being kicked in the face by these guys…
Some websites who hated this whole movement of “jumping” even sold shinguards to protect you from these kicking kids…
The meme part of jumping is ofcourse those kids filming themselves when jumping in front of a famous landmark or public place…

I’m a huge fan of the AVGN but i think memes mostly come from one little stupid idea, phrase or picture and the internet community making fun of it, having the lolz.
The AVGN by itself is entirely the idea of James Rolfe, therefore it cannot be a meme.
What could be a meme is starring the AVGN in those ASS-video’s.

I really loved his short-film but it doesn’t really feel like a meme… It’s not parodied or ridiculed over the internet… so where does the meme part come in?
Maybe we need a more clear defenition of what is a meme…

As I am from Belgium, I can confirm this thing is HUGE… about half of the people I know on facebook have their profile-photo edited with 56 stars…
The great thing is that people who don’t know anything about interet meme’s in the first place start to enjoy it because of this meme.
Quality newspapers even reported on the internet phenomenon she has become in the past few days in our little country…
