WHO ARE YOU PEOPLE!? Please post on my wall and introduce yourself. If I don’t really know you or talk to you, I will not friend you. If you are still just embarrassingly sitting in my follow list then it is because I have no idea who you are and I find it awkward. If you seek to change that then socialize!

TF2, Starcraft 2, Borderlands 2, Star Conflict, Guns of Icarus and more. Find me on Steam, same name there as here.

90’s gaming will always live on in my heart

Ponies, Homestuck, gaming and Carl Sagan. If you hate those, too bad. But I’m cool with other fandoms.
Carl Sagan is best pony

DnB, Trance, Dubstep and a bit of House. Favorites include BSE, SoM, Pendulum, The Upbeats, Shapeshifter and Seba.
Metal is fine too. Don’t mind Rammstien, Disturbed or System of a Down.

I’m a trained PHP web developer. I’m all about the code.
I started the famous trend of themed profiles when I discovered a way to inject my own CSS and Jquery into my profile….but then people abused that and now you can’t do it anymore. Dumbasses

I browse KYM because its a fast way to follow what’s happening in internet culture. Net culture fascinates me and how differently it works compared to every other culture in the world despite being part of every other culture in the world. Plus I like the discussions we have here

I like sci-fi. But not the “UFO blows up New York” crap, I mean real sci-fi such as Star Trek, Stargate, Aliens, Predator…you know all that stuff from before Hollywood ran out of ideas. Then again the internet is pretty much my TV nowadays. The following summarizes my modern TV experience:

@owen

We know. It’s pretty likely that Hostess products will be sold to another brand so there won’t be that much casualty. But it’s more fun to joke about it.

You are assuming this has anything to do with the elections. Actually it doesn’t despite what the headlines has led us to believe

Check the discussion thread and read what actual Texans have to say. It goes deeper than that.

Commented on getting real tired of your bullshit

This phrase has been in use for several decades from millions of different sources. I’m pretty sure nobody can really claim to have started it. Certainly not OP.

Since it didn’t spawn from the net, it’s no more a meme than the term: “cool”.

PS: Inb4 hundreds of “OP IS FAG” image macro’s

As if we all just woke up one morning and collectively decided to make Gak a meme? Yea…no

Why do idiots assume that Bronies planned this whole thing?

Guys, you don’t need to be so hostile.

@OP

We need to see some examples of usage. Post proof of people using the phrase it and show us where.

@Taco

Yes, and I was referring to all those rustled people too, you included.

I’m glad this is classified an event. I’d say that this is a good example of one.

It’s a one-off moment that happened in a single day, but that single moment took the internet by storm, news of it spread far and rustled the jimmies of thousands. It looks like it will continue rustling jimmies for days to come.

Of course it’s not a meme but it is something that happened which spread memetically and has a decisive impact like any other meme. All the butthurt comments here prove this. (People keep forgetting that getting trolled by something carries memetic potential)

But as with any event, I still assert it will be forgotten by the internet in a week (4 days left now). Although despite that, it will be a debacle the Bronies will remember

@Douglas

Sorry dude, Xzibit already got inb4’ed. Nice try though.

And yea, Deadpooling on KYM is not a meme unless other locations start using the exact same term in the same context. At this point it’s merely a catchphrase that’s specific to this site.

I don’t think I have seen you in a while. Yea I’m still using the same old theme.

But if people request a different theme, I might relent and make a new one.

@Password is Taco

Who’s supporting this? Yesterday it was just a Brony in-joke. Now it’s the new Arrow to the Knee and all I see are people constantly bitching about it.

And you aren’t so important that the whole fandom would set this up just to bother you. Especially when it bothers the fandom itself. It doesn’t take a conspiracy to stir hysteria on the internet you know

@Baluh

Thank you for making sense

Commented on Gak

I predicted a massive backlash of Gak hate which would directly follow all the commotion and popularity made about it yesterday.

Anything that gets unwarranted fame like this always receives an equal and opposite recoil of anti-fame

Looks like the hate train has now arrived right on time (Another chance to study the behavioral traits of the internet). But I expect this to be forgotten by the end of the week.

Commented on My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic

@Ignatian

You are feeding the trolls by calling them out and ranting over their actions (mass downvoting). In fact, anything you do feeds them.

Here’s a hint: They mass downvote purely to make you (yes _you _) rant and scream insults at them for doing it. And you did exactly that in your previous comments.

They’ll surely come back and do it again in the hopes that you maintain your act. It entertains them greatly

Commented on Is YouTube Making Us Smarter? | Idea Channel | PBS

Looking at Youtube comments, you would think people are getting dumber, not smarter

But the theory makes perfect sense: There are a lot of things you can learn which you wouldn’t learn otherwise thanks to Youtube. Specifically, it allows you to learn the things you actually want to know. University courses often put you through courses that aren’t relevant to what you want to do, even if you choose your courses carefully, or they can skip questions you may find more important to yourself.
Courses are tailored to the masses, not the induvidual. But the induvidual can still google specific things they are passionate about learning and surely find a Youtube tutorial for it.

There are also some places where the internet can reach but education cannot. In those places, Youtube could very well be improving the quality of education for those seeking it.

As mentioned in the video, it’s all about accessibility of education. The easier it is for society to access information; the smarter it can get.

I didn’t google Semmelweis. I actually waited patiently for your expert take on the matter…so yea, hand over the left appendix please. Unless your intestines are not oriented to the left, in which case I’ll take your right appendix. (inb4, you had your appendix removed already)
