WHO ARE YOU PEOPLE!? Please post on my wall and introduce yourself. If I don’t really know you or talk to you, I will not friend you. If you are still just embarrassingly sitting in my follow list then it is because I have no idea who you are and I find it awkward. If you seek to change that then socialize!
Some guy who codes websites and drinks excessively
DnB, Trance, Dubstep and a bit of House. Favorites include BSE, SoM, Pendulum, The Upbeats, Shapeshifter and Seba.
Metal is fine too. Don’t mind Rammstien, Disturbed or System of a Down.
I am a bass addict. No bass, not interested
I’m a trained PHP web developer. I’m all about the code.
I started the famous trend of themed profiles when I discovered a way to inject my own CSS and Jquery into my profile….but then people abused that and now you can’t do it anymore. Dumbasses
I browse KYM because its a fast way to follow what’s happening in internet culture. Net culture fascinates me and how differently it works compared to every other culture in the world despite being part of every other culture in the world. Plus I like the discussions we have here
I like sci-fi. But not the “UFO blows up New York” crap, I mean real sci-fi such as Star Trek, Stargate, Aliens, Predator…you know all that stuff from before Hollywood ran out of ideas. Then again the internet is pretty much my TV nowadays. The following summarizes my modern TV experience:
Obligatory profile music
Carl Sagan > Lady Gaga > Katy Perry > Miley Cyrus
“Hey Scootaloo, are these friends of yours?”
[sorry for double post, I hit the character limit]
Relax dude. No one is losing anything from people calling themselves “everypony”. It’s no different from 4channers calling themselves “/b/rothers”. As others pointed out, it’s just a bit of harmless fun. It’s not like anyone takes it seriously so you probably shouldn’t either.
But if it’s any consolation to you, we don’t use the term very often here
As for people who “take things too far”, trust us, we know all about it. We’ve dealt with that issue many times before. The best you can do is keep setting a good example for others to follow. But don’t panic; a few zealots wont ruin the whole fandom
I need to remind you that downvotes =/= hate. Nor does it mean people are overreacting or taking things too seriously. There was a reason why Flare Dancers comment was buried, allow me to explain:
There was a time when Forever alone boosted in popularity and got more page views than MLP. Somehow that started a shitstorm and lots of people here whined about it as if MLP deserved to be in the top spot all the time. People started doing stupid things like spamming this comment section just to get it back to the top or preaching doom and disaster that it was a sign the fandom was ending. Some even wanted to raid the Forever Alone page…all over a goddam number.
We don’t want that stupidity to happen again. So people buried Flare Dancers comment just to prevent it from starting anything. Nothing personal to you Flare Dancer, just a precaution
Bottom line: There’s no reason to care if another page gets more hits than MLP, and after what happened last time, we don’t want anyone to act as if there is. Hence, downvotes
You mean like everywhere around KYM? (which is true, I’m a forum whore) or everywhere around the web? Because my name isn’t very original and there are plenty of blue screens out there, that could explain any sightings of me elsewhere
There’s a few other forums I post on other than KYM but I rarely use them. KYM is my only real haunt right now
But I could certainly be anywhere in New Zealand…anywhere
Short and simple is not my style
Anyway, my upvotes go to Randomman and Jolly Jew for pointing out that “Bend Over” is a notable term that has seen some common use around the web and IRL. That includes it’s use in those MLP macro’s this article featured earlier.
This article doesn’t deserve to be insta-deadpooled for inadvertently pointing out a bigger, more plausible trend behind the smaller one it originally presented
Also new profile theme. Check it out
I noticed an explosion of these images in the MLP image gallery. I was actually just wondering if someone might make an article about it.
Normally when a user on here tries to force his own meme it will get insta-deadpooled. But like Advance said himself, he didn’t invent it alone and he merely got the idea elsewhere. If that’s the case then I say go find examples of this appearing elsewhere other than KYM and give this the benefit of the doubt until we find them
It feels weird seeing KYM get credited to a meme here. Reminds me of the Cheeto.
Remember; KYM doesn’t document it’s own self-invented memes (Like Cheeto’s, Stars and DICKS) unless they spread outside this website
Tis no BSOD, but I. LINUX! I am the mortal nemesis of BSOD and his longest, oldest foe
But I am the superior, for that error message shall never grace my user interface. Try as he might, scheme as he will, my kernels remain absolute and indestructible.
Well I haven’t posted on your wall in an entire month so that’s my excuse
One month ago I could only see Times New Roman. If you were using OCR back then I guess it wasn’t actually installed on my PC at that time (Strange, I thought OCR came with Windows)
Also you jacked the price way back up to ridiculous numbers again. Oh well, the sane price was nice while it lasted
Whoa hey. OCR! I love that font, niiiiiiiice!
How long have you been using this? I only just happened to be passing through your profile now
Last time I was here, you were using Times New Roman (Or some font that wasn’t installed on my browser)
…another one bites the dust.
Damn, I love my job
We knew it all along…
>Black Sun Empire
I love BSE, they got me into DnB myself. I love the atmosphere they use and their combination of Trance elements. I find it to be quite unique. In some cases they remind me of the music from old video games I used to play in decades past. All the more reason to like them
To get transparency you need to use the CSS3 rbga function. Take another look at my code, you’ll see where I have used it.
You are quite right my feline friend. I am well aware of General Crozier, in fact he is the reason this whole thing started.
Me and X-singular always knew that the profile walls had more freedom to express HTML. We were goofing around with scripts on our walls before Crozier showed up. But we didn’t know the full extent at which we could do this. Then X found this Crozier guy and told me about him. Cozier showed how far one could go
We analyzed his code and figured out what he did. Funny thing is I’m not sure if Cozier actually realized what he had discovered. He just copied a 4chan template, stuffed it in his profile then called it a day. Did he understand what he just did? I’m doubtful. There was no evidence of intelligent programming on his profile, just code abuse.
Me and X on the other hand knew exactly what was going on. As programmers we understood the full potential of Croziers discovery and we decided to demonstrate what it could do when used properly by actual web developers.
So Cozier was the first to discover the ability, but me and X were the first explorers of it.
Implying this article had a chance? It’s very obvious that this is not a meme and is just something that some guy made up in the last 15 minutes.
It’s the moderators job to spot trash entries like this and deadpool them in a heartbeat. If you don’t want your articles deadpooled then don’t make them like this. Simple as that
“A US $50 million lawsuit was filled against the photographer”
