Dave Davidson, it’s not a forced meme. I posted the video several weeks before it really got any traction, then I noticed it had several 4chany comments and a handful of parodies. So I got the rights from Charlie Schmit to monetize it, and once it was cleared I got an editor to feature it. It was the featured video spike that triggered most of the parodies, and then it hit a critical mass where it was sustainable. No one was forcing the meme, though over zealous individuals may have made multiple keyboard cat videos on one channel. The video’s promotion was forced though, in response to the early signs of memeness.
