Commented on This also applies to other websites too, but Tumblr is the biggest one

I agree (and what you say also applies to most forums), and I say that it depends on how you look at it.

With something like KYM, certain forums, or even certain Youtube circles, the smaller community means that, yes, you might have a stigma, but it’s usually only in that circle (unless it gets really big and other sites get a hold of your embarrassment), and unless the stupidity or bigotry was REALLY bad, it’ll likely stop after a few months at most.

With Tumblr, when a post gets really popular (like, over 50,000 notes), the reblog feature ensures that it will never truly leave the public eye (I often say that posts have “waves” of popularity), and if you say something stupid or controversial and it gets popular, you’ll likely still deal with hateful two years later unless you either shut down your blog or (in cases in which you weren’t the OP) change your username. I thankfully don’t have first-hand experience with any of this, though.

Commented on Clapping is now triggering

If you’re talking about that “masculinity is so fragile” quote, I think the guy was making fun of people who are like “men have such fragile egos”, but are offended by clapping.

Commented on female "privilege"

A couple good points, although I’d also like to mention is that, at least from my experience, most people who make jokes about male rape victims and male abuse survivors have had a tendency to be other men (the former in particular is sometimes met with comments like “What a lucky guy”).

Commented on Wasn't sure to put this in gravity falls gallery or here

That was the week of the “Steven Bomb”, and the week of the premiere of “Not What He Seems” (March 9, to be exact).

March 9 also had the death of Sam Simon, one of the 3 guys (along with Matt Groening and James L. Brooks) responsible for The Simpsons.

I love how, of the two image galleries the mods could have moved this image to (it was originally posted on the Tumblr gallery) they move it to the image gallery for the show that gets insulted.

Commented on Far-right logic debunked

Here’s some more commentary from this Reuters article, written around the 10th anniversary of the start of the Iraq War:

“The U.S. war in Iraq has cost $1.7 trillion with an additional $490 billion in benefits owed to war veterans, expenses that could grow to more than $6 trillion over the next four decades counting interest, a study released on Thursday said.”

When Alex Hirsch said that someone wasn’t going to survive the season, he was probably talking about the audience.

I also get confused when they say “Charlie Brown.”
