I will admit that Crysis 3 sucks gameplay wise, but that’s beside the point.

Damn right. For all their talk about being trained professionals they did seem awfully keen to press random buttons and get face hugged by the aliens.

I can’t be the only one who first thought that the title said “The Meme Generation”….

@Timstuff
First of all, this isn’t about the right to bear arms. People have done just fine buying guns at the store. Not all of us live in ‘Merica and believe that guns are a god given right that’s the be-all-end-all for liberty and democracy. Don’t change the subject. You’d likely change your tune if a bunch of jihadists walked over here and printed out a few guns for their single suicide mission.
Like I said, the tech’s only going to get cheaper and more advanced. It is going to make it easier for honest to god democracy defending militias to defend their homes indeed, but it’s also going to get easier for radicals, maniacs, neo-nazi’s etc. to get guns themselves. These are the kind of people who think that the best way to protect America is by rampaging against anyone they don’t like, or blowing up buildings like Tim McVeigh. And escalation is something nobody wants.
It’s all probably inevitable anyway. Not the terrorism part, but the proliferation of the stuff. In the end it is probably going to be impossible to police against it. Is it a good thing? Well, talk to me once people have stopped debating (re: screaming at each other).

I’m worried not so much about this piddly little Liberator. I’m more worried about the precedent it’s setting.
Remember that in the future, these printers are going to get a lot cheaper over time. And more importantly, not just Americans will be using them. In say, ten years time or so, whats not to stop some insurgents or terrorist shitheads from making their own untraceable guns and going on a rampage?
