Commented on First two guys is how /mlp/ is generally reacting.

@August and Platus:
> Hugs a guy once in the trailer
> Must be her new boyfriend

It’s like Lyra and Bon Bon all over again. Or, a more recent example, everyone’s assumption that the super secret can’t-be-recorded panel at EQLA was gonna be spoiler information about EQG or season 4. Also, I really don’t see how being set in high school or Twi having a romantic relationship will somehow ruin everything without any solid reason as to why it will. There have been some fantastic shows set in high school (Daria, anyone?) and yet we are still going on assumptions that don’t hold any water.

“Diminishing her character”
OKAY

Really, the complaints about Merida’s redesign hold almost no water because these “changes” to make her “sexier” are completely random and barely noticeable if they’re even there at all. It’s not like Disney just said “She decided she wanted to get married after all and gave up archery and oh she likes pretty dresses now”. I can understand a creator being defensive about the way their characters are being treated and marketed, but frankly this is just being dramatic.

Except it doesn’t matter how you word your questions because they will outright lie to you to keep you from spoilers. Tabitha St. Germaine said she had heard nothing of EQG back in March, and yet her voice work is in it.

That burger is green, looks pretty vegetarian to me.

Also, her eyelids are pink? That’s a strange detail…

Ok I can kinda get people getting annoyed about making Merida wear the dress that she hated in the movie, but she was drawn in a different art style that gave her a slightly thinner waist that gives the illusion that they purposefully made her skinnier and she doesn’t need her frikin bow on her all the time. I would think it rather cumbersome to carry a bow and quiver around when you won’t need it.

Oh, uuhh, I mean… Ponies.

My feelings on paid subscriptions really depends on whether or not I can view the videos without a subscription. If it’s done like it is on Twitch.tv where a subscription gives the subscriber chat privileges and no ads (while also being the best way to support the streamer and the site), while non-subs can still follow the streamer (and still get notified on when they are streaming), watch the streams, and use the chat (unless the chat is sub-only) then I am ok with this.

My opinion on this will also depend on how much paid subscriptions will help the youtuber as well. On Twitch a paid for subscription is a streamer’s best source of income (if they have a subscribe button) because it is their one guaranteed source of income that will not fluctuate as much as donations or the number of viewers watching the ads (instead of using adblock, closing the tab, etc.), and is what makes it possible for some streamers to make livestreams for a living. From what I can see (although this is only speculation) paid for Youtube subscriptions will benefit the youtuber similarly to how it works on Twitch.

Really, I’m not too bothered with people complaining about this whole thing because youtube viewers seem to be willing to complain about just about anything that has to do with making some sort of sacrifice to support the site and the youtuber. “You expect me to watch ADS!? What kind of greedy corporation is this!?!?”

@MadPointer: You can’t ask packets questions if you’re confused on a subject.

Teaching that has a mixture of work packet use and lecturing is ideal. It’s really all about conforming to every students needs. Jeff Bliss even said in the video “not every students learns just by looking at packets”

Lauren’s intended lore of the show =/= what the lore of the show has to be.

It’s not her show anymore, she left the show to other creators and she’s fully aware that meant there would possibly be changes made to the lore.

Lauren also originally intended for Rarity to be the element of creativity, that doesn’t mean we should stop calling her the element of generosity.

Commented on Abercrombie Anti-Plus-Size Controversy.

The mention of Jeffries’ employment discrimination (including discrimination against racial minorities) reminds me of an episode of That’s So Raven (Anyone watch that show back then? Just me? Ok…) where Raven wanted to work at a clothing store only to find out that the woman who runs the store doesn’t hire black people. It was some sort of Black History Month episode or whatever. I just felt like mentioning that.

Back on topic, this man is stuck in a high school clique mentality, and I actually feel really sorry for him. It’s pretty stressful trying to maintain a social image, and it’s something so petty and not even worth so much effort.

@Chowz:
I believe the joke Beta was trying to make was that Jeffries looks like Herman Munster.

You mean a company that is all about making cheap-ass clothing, putting their name on it, and selling it for $50+ dollars only cares about “cool” people buying their clothes? Wow, I am just so shocked. Seriously, the company is designed to alienate anyone who isn’t white, thin, and young right down to the way the store is designed. They’re known for only having white models to the point that Family Guy made a joke about it

They make their stores dim lit, spray their “signature scent” all over the damn place, and put a step at the entrance just to deter parents from going in there and trying to monitor their kids’ spending. And We’re surprised that they only make small sized clothing?

This guy’s not only a douche, he’s a major idiot. Why would you specifically state that you want to alienate “undesired” customers? What good would that ever do your company? You could’ve at least covered up your douche-y motive by saying that spending the money to make larger sizes would not pool enough profit to make it worthwhile or something like that.

There’s an update that says Happ only has a skull fracture and a tweaked knee (which is ironically his worst injury) and will only be away from the game for about a month. God dammit is this guy lucky.

Thanks for linking the video, xTSGx.

My brother was freaking out about this injury last night. He said that that’s a career ending injury, and it could have even killed him. I have never heard a baseball stadium be so quiet for so long. I hope that Happ has a swift recovery.

And that’s how you depress me in 5 seconds.

I don’t have any strong opinion on it. I feel that it is something that is difficult to make a solid opinion about because circumstances are different almost every time alimony is involved.
