Finally got around to playing this. Finished the Hanako route. I’ve gotta say, Its an incredibly heartwarming story. It’s so funny to think that an eroge made an independent studio can make a better story that most studios with their triple AAA titles. Anyways, yeah, Hanako was a great character. I will go through her story again sometime.

That is how I learned the changes as well. The death of Budo is just so stupid to me. In the manga, he is a character who’s strength is legendary that is respected by everyone. I remember his Tiegu was called at one point the “ultimate Tiegu”. Yet he gets taken out like a chump….
I don’t know, it just makes me wonder why the revolutionary army couldn’t have just attacked the palace at full force. Budo is a bitch apparently.
Also, Kurome x Wave is the best couple, hands down. While I would like Tatsumi x Esdeath, It won’t happen most likely, so Akame x Tatsumi is the next best thing.

What’s your thoughts on what happened to the travesty that is the Akame ga Kill anime?

General Budo went down like a jackass. It was going just fine, but they had to fuck everything up.

If you go in the late morning, you can still find plenty of good deals and you won’t have to deal with the crazy psychopaths.

I dont agree with OP, but you are just attacking a ridiculous strawman. It was obvious what he was talking about.

Admittedly though, my last comment came off as me saying “fuck you, your opinion is unpopular.” that’s wasn’t my intention, I was just trying to get across that I don’t feel the need to justify what I don’t perceive to be a flaw.

Do not confuse my post as an appeal for popularity. I was just saying that you should consider the overwhelmingly positive reception and think that just because you see all these flaws, that maybe there are also things to like. Don’t come here offering “better” alternatives when we clearly like it a lot.

Alos, please stop taking what I say out of context. Every time I have to point out that I didn’t say what you say I did. I never said shooters were limited to fps nor that that was a western only thing. I was simply stating that for everything that you attribute to being a stereotype of anime, there are things that are not.

I said I won’t continue, but I wan’t to clear something up.
An Excuse is an attempt to lessen the blame or fault. An attempt to justify. I would say that the vast majority don’t agree with you, so there is no foul. I am not trying to justify anything because I perceive no foul. I am simply giving a reason for why that was done. Also, can you tell me what anime has a first person shooter view? I’m pretty sure that is much more common in western gaming. Its easy to just go “Hot girls and mechs? Anime stereotype!” but under scrutiny it doesn’t hold water. Modern anime is not very keen to the mecha genre, so if they were going for the general look of modern anime, they failed. It takes more nods from rave culture than anything.

What I see is a animated music video that is heavily influenced by EDM. If you perceive it to be a “stereotype of anime”, that is just to you. Get that through your head, what you are saying is a very unpopular opinion. I don’t need to try and justify what I don’t see as an issue.
Lastly, I can only do so much. You are clearly steadfast in your opinions on this.I can’t change your mind, so I won’t try. But I will voice my opinion on what I find to be a shallow criticism.

Part 2
“As far as why they didn’t go for something more popular,I don’t know,I cant tell you whats currently trending in terms of anime, but I can argue that it isn’t only mecha,I can argue that the main girl in the tv at the beginning is a stereotype of anime fanservice girls "
If you can’t tell me why, yet I can give you a clear reason, why the hell are we having this discussion?
Listen, I laid out that the creators of this video have very strong ties to Evangelion, not to mention the fact that this is a electronic pop song, so the Mecha aspect is 1) a perfect fit for the music 2) a painfully obvious nod to their previous works. Yet here you are saying that is a poor defense? Are you kidding me? If you didn’t catch that, maybe you haven’t been “appreciating animation” as well as you thought. I’m done, you clearly aren’t even trying to consider what I am saying. Just remember, this video has received acclaim from both viewers and critics alike. That doesn’t mean you have to like it, but you should at least consider why people like it before you completely dismiss it a try to tell us what we should watch instead.

Jesus Christ, I never said that isn’t prevalent in anime, what I said was that the sexulization of women is present in every form of media. Its not a trope specific to anime. You can’t say " oh, its a stereotype of anime, look at the sexy girls" without sounding like you don’t really have anything else to nitpic. It’s what it is, sexual attraction, one of the male’s strongest driving forces. Its what is ruining this guys life.

If you are talking about people accepting the fact that they exist on the internet and are here to stay, that is something that has already been accomplished. But if we are talking about bronies being accepted as in they can post it anywhere with almost no one caring, that kind of acceptance, I think you will need a sizable amount of people that can relate to it on some level.

If they truly were trying to stereotype anime. Why Mecha and only Mecha? Mecha is hardly part of the anime Zeitgeist at the moment. Why not something more popular? Like Ninjas, school girls, or maybe a magical girl. Hot girls are not exclusive to anime, so don’t even. The reason they had that was because 1) Their previous works 2) the look fit in with the electronic pop style perfectly.
Honestly, I am almost positive you had no idea about the connection between the people who worked on this and their connection to eva, and you were just looking for something else to nitpick.
