Hello, I am dddrgn. I am a Brony, and have recently discovered memes. Lately I have dedicated hours and days to researching them, and hope to have fun here. I will mention that I suffer from depression problems so sometimes I may seem a bit out of whack. I hope to cause no offense to anypony -I mean, anyone, while I am here.

I agree that fandoms and subcultures are much different, even though very similar. I would describe a fandom as the early stages of what could possibly become a subculture. Fandoms just have some people that like it, while not necessarily going to the extent of thinking about it all the time. In a subculture, such as my little pony’s bronies, they center their thoughts around it. They write music and fanfiction, make graphics, and join forums about it. There is a distinct difference in what I would think...
