Commented on Ramirez, Do Everything!.

I agree, this needs to be out of the Deadpool. Give Ramirez a break, Foley makes him do fuckin’ EVERYTHING.

Deadpool unless more variants or information is made available. Shame, because it’s a pretty fuckin’ funny commerical.

Commented on Apache (Tommy Seebach).

Funny dubs and mash-ups, but with no cross over examples, this is more of a viral video than a meme.

Commented on Who's That Pokémon?.

Until we see some more examples and cross over success, I’m saying deadpool.

Commented on They're Taking the Hobbits to Isengard.

I’m not that fond of the original video as it was everywhere a few years ago and emailed to me 1000 times. However, due to the above examples I think it does actually qualify as a meme, but only barely.

Commented on Ventrillo Harassment.

Not even close to a definition of a meme.

Commented on The End of the World.

Only place I’ve ever seen this is on albino black sheep, and just because it’s kind of a goofy video doesn’t make it a meme. Also, no way that this came out in 1996 as listed in the article, probably more like 2001?

Commented on Lando Calrissian YTMND fad.

I think that Lando can be considered a meme, but not for the reasons described in this article. Suggest deadpooling this Lando entry and researching a new Lando entry.

Commented on Red vs. Blue.

Just because it’s a popular video and it’s on the internet does not make it a meme.

If you dug around the individual episodes, I’m certain some of the spoken lines have been a meme for a short time, many years ago.

Commented on You, sir, are and idiot.

I think this has potential to be a meme but I haven’t seen enough evidence yet.

Commented on D*ck in a Box.

This is a viral video and was a pretty big blip on the pop culture radar back in December of 2006, but that doesn’t make it a meme.

How could this possibly be considered a meme? It’s just a “wacky” review for a video game that isn’t even out yet. E3 2009 wasn’t even that long ago. Sounds like a fun game, but that doesn’t make it a meme.

Commented on Braden Walker Tributes.

Well written article, but I have to say Not a Meme to this one. Doesn’t seem to have any cross over success and wrestling fans are really the only ones who know anything about it. It’s be like saying “This is Spinal Tap” is a meme simply because it’s a fake documentary.

Commented on Nigga Stole My Bike.

Politically correct or not, this is definitely a meme. Been seeing this in various forms for many years now. Your apology at the end of the article should be cleaned up, I have no idea what relevance that is to the rest of the article.

Commented on OWNED (PWNED).

Very well written and researched. Still dunno if it’s as much of a meme as it a popular phrase. Reminds me of the recent popularity / reinvention of the word “lame”.

Commented on You Cannot Grasp The True Form of X.

Never heard of it either, and the summary is poorly written, which suggests that the OP doesn’t understand the concept of a meme.
