Actually, would Half Life: Full Life Consequences be strong enough to be a meme?
Commented on In b4 X.
This is basically a funny/internet slang-ified way of pointing out what’s going to happen in a thread.
One example is if it’s obvious that the thread is going to slip into endless flamewar over a controversial topic, whether it’s original intent was pure or not.
Eg. There’s a thread in the TF2 forums on steam which is talking about overpowered weapons you’d create if you could. An expected response would be “inb4 FAN,” which is a weapon that has considerable controversy over it’s OPness.
It’s also used to signal that a thread’s going nowhere. This is on forums where the thread would likely be locked because it’s got material that’s just resulting in a flame war.
In the case of inb4 404, it’s almost 100% used in response to CP on 4chan, mainly used simply to signal that the thread’s minutes are numbered.
Commented on Biden / Palin Debate 4pane.
How is there so much stuff on this?!
I think that the Batman and CSI 4panes are a bit different, being a lot more mainstream. This volume of images is to be expected when someone makes a template, but the Batman and CSI ones surpass what’s normal for a 4pane.
Commented on TMI(too much information).
This is way too mainstream to be just, or anything close to just and internet thing.
Commented on Photoshop Bob Ross.
I was wondering when this article would come around.
Tomberry is right though. Good start, but it needs to get moving in the right direction. I’ll save my gold star for the person who actually writes an article for this.
Commented on Dr. Tran.
This is a popular video, but I really don’t know if it’s a meme. I mean, it’s really popular (or at least was,) but from what I’ve seen, it’s gotten a lot of attention in more mainstream culture, not just the internet. I’m not sure what kinds of mutations there might be, so some of those could change my mind if they exist.

This belongs with Rageguy, I don’t think it’s strong enough to get it’s own page
I can totally relate to the paper tearing one
Commented on Boot to the head!.
Shouldn’t this now be deadpooled/merged?
Commented on Invincible Beast Of Tomorrow.
There’s a lot of stuff on this, but it’s just a common exploitable. I don’t see any “mutation” in this per se, just what’s expected of any exploitable.
Commented on Malleo.
No, it should just be included in the Weegee page
Commented on What Has Been Seen Cannot Be Unseen.
^^ I hadn’t realized it before seeing the pic for the first time. Now I see it all the time
I like the Goldeneye 64 one the best

Reminds me of the Gillette hair sculptor commercial http://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=gilette+commercial+hair&search_type=&aq=f

Agree with Rihk
Commented on Cactuar.
Oh, the only FF games I know anything about is FFIII, and they don’t have Cactaurs. So I guess it’s semi-related?
Commented on Cactuar.
I see 1000 needles in 3 of these pics. Could it be relevant?
Commented on Hidebu!!!.
Oh sorry, forgot to fix that period

Commented on Whaleware.
Hmm a meme that has had very little impact so far?
I’d just like to say that it’s incredibly difficult to try to predict the path of anything, especially something based on culture like a meme is. If you’ve seen a couple pictures, it’s impossible to say if it’ll become popular in the future.
There’s also nothing much we can do to “help Whaleware be the next big internet meme,” it just doesn’t work like that.
Seriously, there should be a big warning box before you press the “create new entry” button. People need to use more discretion when writing up these things.
On the upside, the article seems well written for the amount of information that exists about it
Commented on Boot to the Head.
Way better article than the other one. Merge?
Commented on LadderGoat.
No!
Commented on Forced Meme.
Edited. If there’s anything I failed to mention, clean up help would be appreciated.
I’m guessing this need pics as well.
Commented on Cactuar.
Yeah, whenever I think of Cactuar, the first thing I think of is Newgrounds and all the stuff they have there.
I’m not quite sure what to think of this…
Commented on Cleverbot.
@ Shadowurry: But would memes really exist without 4chan?
Commented on Cleverbot.
I’m guessing that all the searches for cleverbot are just people looking for cleverbot to use.
But it seems like almost every time a new AI chatter comes out, there’s a flood of threads on 4chan reminding people to do their part so the new AI learns all it’s swears early on. That’s the main reason it knows how to rick roll people, pokemon theme song, etc.

I remember this was really popular a good 4 or 5 years ago.
I think that Cactaur is pretty notable. Not obviously so, but the kind of person that lurks in the shadows of forums, ready to strike when he is needed. A lot more research is needed though, mostly into how exactly he’s used other than just as a character.

FINAL FANTASY GIL QUEST
Is most certainly required in this situation
