I don’t know what kind of internet memes you want in this dictionary, but when i googled “needs theray site:ytmnd.com” only 2 on the first page did not have this song, and the search result continued several pages refering to The Avalanches. I admit that the song itself and remixes of the video is not the meme this site is about, but “X needs therapy” should qualify. One of the YTMNDs also had 250 000+ views and it now seems to have branched of to a Donnie Darko variant (or maybe merged).

Obviously, just saying that someone needs therapy is not a meme, but there is a distinct “X needs therapy”-meme.

Just google “seeks professional help site:ytmnd.com” and compare…

So even if people do remakes of it and post on the internet it’s not an internet meme? It’s not the music itself I’m taking about but the video and derivatives.

In anticipation of criticism: Yes, this is almost exclusively a Swedish meme. But nevertheless, it IS a meme, with replication, mutation and… well, selection (popularity I guess).

The question is, is this site going to cover all popular memes, independent of location?
