When you can, please put both the “width” value and the “height” value in img embeds that are being resized. It saves on page load time for the entry. Alternatively you can switch out the “newsfeed” part of the url for “small” if you want to embed without having to add a width value.

I do not think a hashtag hub entry is needed; I agree with DPF that the purpose can be served by the Twitter entry. However, I would like to see an increase in trending twitter topics and hashtag entries that are modeled after entries like these: #AccordingtoPalin#ReasonstoBeatYourGirlfriend#Greenfieldism#shestooyoungforyoubro#FuckYouWashington#Дождь They can make for some pretty interesting entries when filled with data from sites like Trendistic.

Sometimes using Google Insights to pinpoint when keywords associated with a meme first started picking up steam can be useful when using the advanced Google search options for a specific time period. This can help narrow the results if you are trying to find the first places a meme began spreading out through blogs, etc.

I had been thinking about a Low Orbit Ion Cannon entry a few months ago. It might be difficult to justify a meme entry I suppose, but there has been significant chatter about it. I wouldn’t be against having some sort of DDoS in Internet culture entry with a focus on things like the LOIC etc.

Hey guys I think the problem of overflowing media in entry galleries will be solved when we have multiple sorting options in the gallery. For example: the default view would be by “highest rated”, and there would be options to view for “most commented” and just “all” (the current view) as well.

@Katie: You were kicked repeatedly because you were somehow getting past the bans I set (which is why the channel is now +m). You were banned for spamming the channel. Don’t spam the channel, and you won’t get banned.

Entry content does not need to be approved in the forums prior to entry creation. When an entry is first created it is placed in the “submissions”, not “confirmed”. That said, sometimes it can be very helpful to consult the forums to gather the information needed to create an entry.
